Verreauxs sifaka in Kirindi forest Sorry for the poor shot, there was a lot of backlight in the scene.<br />

Note that I am in doubt as to whether this is a Decken&#039;s Sifaka or a Verreauxs sifaka. The dark fur on their head suggests this is a Verreauxs sifaka, but according to my lemur book they do not appear in the Kirindi area. Verreaux's sifaka, or the white sifaka, is a medium sized primate in one of the lemur families, Indriidae. It lives in Madagascar and can be found in a variety of habitats from rainforest to western Madagascar dry deciduous forests and dry and spiny forests.
