  1. Gary, what about Calocera cornea? It could have aged to this orangey color. Posted 5 years ago
    1. I'd thought about that one too, but the tips are not blunt-pointed and the body is also flat or ribbon-like. The tips seem to be flat with a shallow depression. Substrate (hardwood) is right for Calocera cornea but the rest of it seems to go some other way. I did a quick check in Ascomycete Fungi of North America (Beug, Bessette, and Bessette) and didn't come up with anything.

      There are a lot of these now showing up on this log so maybe in the next few days I can get some closer shots.
