Banded Fishing Spider (Dolomedes vittatus) ♀ with Young At a dense mixed forest edge. This is the largest spider I&#039;ve seen (besides tarantulas)! She had some prey that I couldn&#039;t identify. The young were in a silken shelter (?) near mother spider and would flutter/rearrange themselves at the sound of my voice!<br />
