Western kingbird, Texas

I'm not sure of this ID. Although the chest and head seem to match, the wings have brown and white. I found this bird call, and it matched what I heard.

Deb, changed the ID, as this is not a chat, it's likely a kingbird, and in your area that would probably make it the Western Kingbird.

Justification: kingbirds are larger than chats and note the all-yellow chest and belly, whilst the chat you suggested only has a yellow breast. Posted 5 years ago

    I knew it was a kingbird because I've photographed a few myself, so recognized it from memory. As for finding the specific kingbird, I used inaturalist. Steps:
    
    1. Go to https://www.inaturalist.org/
    2. In the top left search field (green search icon), enter "Kingbirds"
    3. Select "View observations" from the pulldown that appears
    4. In the location field, type "Texas"
    5. Click "species" in the results tab.
    
    You'll now see the Kingbirds reported to occur in Texas, and can find the closest match.
