I've always had interest in nature since I was very small, growing up in a very rural environment really helped that curiosity. As a young child I captured and then carried bugs, frogs, worms and the like in my pockets at most times, watched them grow in jars, old aquariums etc. while being in total amazement of the things that live on the planet with us......My interest was increased when I took up photography in the 80's and my interest in nature and bugs etc.. really deepened when I introduced macro photography to my bag in the 90's. "I guess that I never grew out of capturing critters and being in awe of the life forms that share the planet with us, But...that's not a bad thing to hang onto." M.L.
