Libelloides hispanicus
Libelloides hispanicus
The Libelloides are a genus of insects of the family Ascalaphidae, belonging to the order Neuroptera. They have nothing to do with dragonflies, despite its name and appearance, or with butterflies. They are absolutely harmless to humans and feed on other insects that deftly capture and voracity help of its powerful flight. The Libelloides hispanicus flies in flowering meadows, often near wooded areas during the spring and summer.
