Paropsisterna nobilitata

Paropsisterna nobilitata is a spectacularly coloured eucalyptus leaf beetle similar to Paropsisterna annularis and P. gloriosa. Some thought it is endemic to Tasmania but it has been seen on several occasions in Victoria.
Paropsisterna nobilitata A red infusion occurs in the posterior quarter of the beetle.  The yellow blotches in this specimen are very large in the posterior pair.   This beetle was found by Geoff Walker.   Australia,Geotagged,Paropsisterna nobilitata,Spring

Appearance

About 10mm long,
Face, pronotum and skirt of the elytra are a pale, semi-translucent tan.
The elutra when closed show a contained area with bright yellow then royal blue at the perimeter, then a large bright red area which contains four large, bright yellow spots with royal blue borders.

From far south-eastern New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania
