Green hairy field spider

Neoscona rufipalpis

Unlike other Neoscona species that make orb webs overnight and removing them in the morning. N. rufipalpis keeps its web intact with a retreat to one side in a curled leaf. Their webs are made of yellow, very sticky silk.
Green hairy field spider I was hoping for a better photo but these spiders hide in a retreat, only coming out when there is something edible in the web and oh boy is he quick! Anyway, he has now disappeared. This is the only hairy field spider I have seen that has such a glorious golden web. Appearance

Female 11-13mm, male 5-11mm. Carapace dark brown, abdomen has a pale green tint. The male is darker and more hairy.
