Flinders Ranges Masked Rock-skink

Liopholis margaretae personata

The Flinders Ranges Masked Rock-skink is a large skink in the Liopholis genus that is endemic to Australia.
Basking Flinders Ranges Masked Rock-skink (Liopholis margaretae personata) These large skinks have a limited distribution in the Flinders Ranges of South Australia. (Another subspecies, Liopholis margaretae margaretae, is found in SW Northern Territory and a teensy bit of NW South Australia.) They are quite shy, but this one was apparently too comfortable basking on the warm rocks to immediately race into the nearest crevice like most of the other ones I saw.
