Viola tricolor curtisii
The dune pansy (Viola tricolor subsp. Curtisii) is a plant of the family violets (Violaceae). The plant is mainly found in the dunes. The up to 25 cm tall plant has light blue flowers. The lower petals are lighter than the top two. The violet grows on nutrient-poor dune sites. The dune pansy is one of the host plants of the dune fritillary and small pearl butterfly.
