Appearance

It produces densely growing slender valves from a creeping stem. A single leaf is attached to the tip of the bulb. The leaves are cortical, fleshy and elongated. In spring, small pink to red-purple flowers bloom densely on the flower stalks that emerge from the leaf stalks.
Height: 70 to 100 cm, leaves Length: 30-50 cm, leaf width: 2 cm, leaf shape: linear, stem length: 30-40 cm, inflorescence length: 15-20 cm, petal shape: inverted lanceolate, flower color: purplish-red, pink, flower diameter: 0.8 cm.

Distribution

Native to Mexico to Central America, Colombia, Venezuela and Jamaica.

Habitat

It is a native epiphytic orchid.
