
Appearance
Cap 40-75 mm wide, glutinous, light brown to cream at margin, darkening from olive-brown to brown with darkest tones on disc, margin wrinkled. Stipe 50-140 mm long and 7-14 mm at apex, clavate with rounded base, surface white, coated by a pale to dark violet glutinous sheath overall when young or lower half in more mature specimens. Gills very pale brown, darkening with age, Context white to cream in stipe apex, and yellow brown in base, sometimes hollow.References:
