Appearance
They are subshrubs that reach a size of 15-35 cm in height, erect, densely branched. The branches are densely foliose with short internodes and setosus nodes. The leaves are 4-10 × 1-4 mm, linear-oblong, 3-veined, the upper surface glabrous, the underside with raised midrib, diminutively dotted and glabrous or with a few patent trichomes on the midrib, the margins serrate . Mature hypanthus 4-6 × 3-5 mm, glabrous or sparsely covered distally with smooth trichomes on or near the receptacle alternating with calyx wolves; calyx wolves 2.5-4 mm, ciliate, otherwise glabrous. Petals 9-10 × 5-6 mm, yellow. Anthers 3.5-4 mm, linear to linear-subulate, yellow. It has a chromosome number of 2 n = 18.Distribution
