Appearance

Like most Aradidae the body of this bug is very flattened, as an adaptation to its lifestyle under bark of dead or dying trees. This 6,5-11mm long Aradus has fully developed hemelytra but reduced hind wings. The second antenna segment is relatively slender and much longer than the third. The pronotum sports four longitudinal ridges and has pale sides with denticles on the lateral margins.
