Forewing and hindwing with basal central orange ochraceous color. Clear border separation at the margins with multiple ocelli. Ocelli black with blue bright dot and dark yellow margins. Submarginal bands cream color and marginal band blueish dark grey.Distribution
Wallacea. Mycalesis messene can be found in Bachan, Halmahera, Morotai, and TernateHabitat
