Appearance

The western talma resembles the eastern talma ; however, the western talma is distinguished by its longer dorsal and anal fins, and deeper body. ''Chelmonops curiosus'' grows to 26 cm in length.

Habitat

''Chelmonops curiosus'' ranges in eastern Indian Ocean and off of Australia. It is found around coral reefss at a depth range 51 – 57 m.
