
Appearance
Capitula solitary, or more commonly c. 6–12 in a loose panicle, broadly-campanulate, up to c. 2.5 cm diam.; outer bracts obscured by dense cottony or woolly hairs, intermediate bracts each with an herbaceous cottony claw and a white or pinkish, opaque lamina, c. 6–9 mm long, innermost bracts each with a much shorter or barely developed lamina; florets all bisexual.
