In the eastern Canadian provinces and eastern United States this plant can be found in many types of habitat, including disturbed fields, abandoned pastures, human-constructed marshes and riverbanks, lakeshores, dunes, beaches, grasslands, shrublands, savannas, alvar, and many types of forest.Status
