Weevils of the genus Pachyrhynchus are often conspicuously patterned and as such used to be favourable show-pieces in beetle collections all over the world. Pachyrhynchus pulchellus has a bronze, iridescent base colour with a pattern of whitish longitudinal stripes over the elytra.Distribution
Pachyrhynchus spp generally show very high levels of (island-) endemism, as such collection specimen of Pachyrhynchus pulchellus with labels other than Luzon (such as "Molucas") are considered doubtful.References:
