Also known as Red-striped Cleaner Shrimp, Lysmata ternatensis is a shrimp species from the Hippolytidae family. The scientific name of the species was first validly published in 1902 by De Man.

Appearance

Size to 2.5 cm (1 in.). Translucent with close-set red longitudinal stripes. Yellow legs and yellow margins on tail. Lomg white and yellow antennae.

Habitat

This shrimp lives in coral reefs with sandy bottoms in subtidal and intertidal zones.
