Appearance
Shell size 34 - 115 mm.Shell with low spire, up to 9 cm. Small and large, blunt spines (often eroded) on shoulders of whorls. Columella with 5-6 folds. Colour white with brown blotches; aperture yellowish-white; outer lip blotched with black.
