Appearance

Head: Brownish-yellow, darker at sides. Long haired (scaled). Palpi long, folded; dark brown, underside yellowish.
Antenna: Dark brown, over half as long as wing.
Thorax: Tufted. Brownish-yellow; darker on sides.
Wings: Wings wide and rounded at tip; dark brown with brownish-yellow lace-like marks. Costal edge has four to five double yellow marks. Inner edge entirely yellow, widening at mid wing and just before wing tip. Wing tip has irregular shaped yellow patch. Fringe short, checkered yellow and brown. Hindwings light purplish-gray, edges dotted.
Legs: All segments dark brown with yellowish tips.
Abdomen: Yellowish-gray.
