Yellow-bordered Taildropper

Prophysaon foliolatum

A large slug, yellowish or brownish grey, with dark diamond-mesh pattern on the tail; mantle with lateral bands; sole cream. It gets its name from its ability to self-amputate part of its tail to escape from predators. Habitat: Forests. Distribution: NW North America.
