Panorpa annexa is a species of Scorpionfly (Mecoptera: Panorpidae) from the south of Italy and Sicily.

Appearance

P. annexa is part of the Panorpa cognata group of species that have modified 6th and 7th abdominal segments in the male, where these have a "spoiler" like hind margin, whereas in the other species the segments are conical, narrowing gradually to the apex.

Naming

Panorpa annexa was first described MacLachlan in 1869.
Other species that have been synonymized with it include Panorpa ghilianii MacLachlan, 1869 and Panorpa adnexa (sic) Navás, 1927.
