The Black-bordered Lemon Moth is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found from Massachusetts westward through northern Ohio to Illinois and Oklahoma and southward to southern Florida and southernmost Texas.
Black-bordered Lemon Moth - Marimatha nigrofimbria Total length: 10 mm. It usually has lemon-yellow forewings, but this moth's wings were more tan than yellow. Forewings have tiny, black claviform and reniform dots. The terminal line is blackish with purplish gray fringe.

Habitat: Attracted to a 395 nm LED light in a rural area.

Appearance

The wingspan is 18–22 mm. Adults are on wing from May to September in the northern part of the range and from March to November in the South.
