''Antennaria neglecta'' is a North American species of flowering plants in the daisy family known by the common name field pussytoes. It is widespread across much of Canada as well as the northeastern and north-central United States.
Field Pussytoes This plant has woolly stems, leaves and flower heads. It has two kinds of leaves: basal leaves in rosettes and small, linear leaves arranged alternately along each flower stalk. During spring, a flower stalk emerges from the center of each basal rosette with terminal clusters of fuzzy, white flowers. Each flower cluster has over 20 small unscented flower heads. The fruits on female plants are seed-like achenes, with the fruiting heads resembling the fruiting heads of miniature dandelions. Appearance

''Antennaria neglecta '' is an herb up to 25 cm tall with as many as 8 flowering head per plant. Male and female flowers are borne on separate plants, some populations being composed entirely of female plants.
