
Distribution
Paracaloptenus caloptenoides occurs in Southeastern Europe from Central Greece to east Austria (only extremely rare and local), Slovakia and to the Black Sea.
Habitat
It inhabits especially stony or sandy, dry habitats (slopes, gappy grasslands etc.) in medium-high altitudes mostly between 800 and 1600m asl (sometimes even lower).Reproduction
The adults appear in summer. They stay on the ground especially at the foot of the embankments and take refuge in the nearby vegetation when necessary.References:
