Exoprosopa dorcadion

Exoprosopa dorcadion

flies belonging to the family Bombyliidae (bee-flies)
Exoprosopa dorcadion relatively "easy" to identify as the patterns on these guys wings very much define their species with little variation between individuals - you just have to be sure the pattern is really an exact match, as there are 40 some species to compare and the differences can be subtle. Exoprosopa dorcadion,Geotagged,Summer,United States
