
Appearance
Size is about 9 millimetres long. It is a plant feeder. This species, as all "scentless plant bugs", lack well-developed scent glands and can be distinguished by numerous veins in the membrane of the hemelytra, characteristic of all Rhopalidae family.In "Corizus hyoscyami" subs. "hyoscyami" the abdominal tergites 3rd and 4th are red, while in "Corizus hyoscyami" subs. "nigridorsum" they are completely black. The dorsum colors are visible in elitrale transparency under the membrane.

Distribution
"C. hyoscyami" subs. "hyoscyami" is found in most of Europe. "Corizus hyoscyami" subs. "nigridorsum" is present in Spain, Italy, Morocco and Tunisia.References:
