Appearance

Highland species : Mesonotum with 3 pairs of long paired spines: pair on anterior, mid and posterior mesonotum.

Usually in various shades of brown. Both sexes with two very short spines between eyes. Head and pronotum tuberculated, occasionally with short occipital and anterior pronotal spines. Large pair of spines on metatonum and large spines on front of 2nd and 3rd abdominal segments. Lateral supra coxal spines on mesopleura and metapleura. All femora and tibiae with spine-like lobes.

Length of male : 39 - 42 mm
Length of female : 52- 57 mm
