Appearance

Semi-prostrate habit rarely above 30cm in height though to 40cm in the wild. Leaves elliptic to oblanceolate, 6-10mm long, white ciliate, bright green. Flowers usually light clear pink, 2.5- 3cm across or somewhat smaller and with a red eye, solitary or in clusters of two or three, late spring.

Distribution

Eastern Alps, on limestone slopes and screes mainly at 1000-2000m.
