Caloplaca flavovirescens

Caloplaca flavovirescens

A crustose, saxicolous lichen with densely packed orange apothecia on a thin yellow thallus.
Golden lichen? Glowing in the early evening sunshine, a lovely golden patch of lichen ( I think). It was facing the sea and open to the winds and the elements. Caloplaca flavovirescens,Cumbria,Early Summer,Geotagged, coastal.United Kingdom
