  2. Oh no, hope it doesn't get bad! Did you try applying baking soda/soap/water? Posted 5 years ago
    1. I got the solution made, but my spray bottle is broken! UGH! Posted 5 years ago
      1. Ughhhhh! Do you have a cruet? That would work for sprinkling. Or, put some cheesecloth over a bottle open and sprinkle that way. Another solution, which may sound nuts (but works) is to reshape a bottle lid (any bottle or jug with a plastic lid)... You hold the cap with pliers, put it over an open flame until the plastic is malleable. Then, stick a skewer (or anything narrow and pokey) up through the middle of the cap (from underneath). This creates a dome-like shape. Remove from flame to let harden briefly, dip in water, remove skewer, and cut tip off cap to make a hole. Viola, you have a sprinkle/squirt bottle. TMI? ''Podosphaera fuliginea'' is a plant pathogen that causes powdery mildew on cucurbits. ''Podosphaera fuliginea'' and ''Erysiphe cichoracearum'' are the two most commonly recorded fungi causing cucurbit powdery mildew. In the past, ''Erysiphe cichoracearum'' was considered to be the primary causal organism throughout most of the world. Today, ''Podosphaera fuliginea'' is more commonly reported.
