Trichius gallicus is a beetle species belonging to the family Scarabaeidae, subfamily Cetoniinae.
The sides of the chest and the back of the abdomen of Trichius species are covered with a conspicuous pubescence. Head and pronotum are black, while the elytra are yellowish, crossed by a few black bands, giving the beetles more or less the general appearance of a Bumble bee. Hence the popular name of Bee beetles or Brush beetles for Trichius species as a group.
