    1. Hey Lisa! Yeah they are such inquisitive little things aren't they. Just had him out on my hand and he's so funny. Poor thing is very alert and aware and perhaps even a little scared of things. I'm just taking it slowly with him and letting him get comfortable with me. Posted 2 years ago

    1. He's a man spider :) Regal Jumping spiders are easily sexed due to the males being black with white markings on their abdomen - while females are a variety of colours such as grey, orange, purple, green etc.

      I agree though, he's probably saying that he is pretty :D

"Phidippus regius" is a species of jumping spider in eastern North America. Adult males range from 6 to 18 mm in body length and average 12 mm. Females range from 7 to 22 mm and average 15 mm. "P. octopunctatus" from western North America reaches a larger size.
