Safe from most predators, this Madagascar Pratincole nests in the limestone caves along the Stingy river in Madagascar. They are very funny birds in that their body stays perfectly straight as they run, only their legs move. I'll share a closer shot soon.

The Madagascar Pratincole is a species of bird in the Glareolidae family.
It is found in Comoros, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique, Somalia, Tanzania, possibly Mauritius, and possibly Réunion.
Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical seasonally wet or flooded lowland grassland, rivers, freshwater lakes, rocky shores, and intertidal marshes.
It is threatened by habitat loss.
