Insect hotel - closeup, Heesch, Netherlands

Although an artificial habitat, it's still a habitat. This is a closeup of our 3 year old insect hotel. It's a standard/cheap model where later I learned they're not great, as the tubes are too short. Reality disagrees, it's always fully booked.

There's also a section with bamboo sticks above it, yet it always gets wrecked by bigger birds.
