Bankwalker After spending about 15 minutes in a squat position on a muddy bank chasing these restless, fast moving and shy beetles I gave up. This was the best picture I got (still happy with it). So far these beetles are the most difficult subjects I have encountered, but the colors are really worth the effort.

    This is the sand loving family of the beetle above:
    Hybrid dune tiger beetle (Cicindela Hybrida) Tiger beetle showing of its impressive jaws.
