Black & Yellow Longhorn Beetle (Rutpela maculata) I had never noticed this Longhorn Beetle before so was surprised when it landed right in front of me. only to be joined seconds later by an Ichneumonid Wasp, which looks like it&#039;s laying eggs.<br />

"Rutpela maculata", the Spotted Longhorn, is a beetle species of "flower longhorns" belonging to the family Cerambycidae, subfamily Lepturinae. This beetle is widespread in most of Europe, in East Palearctic ecozone and in the Near East.
