Gray Treefrog - Hyla versicolor This is Coco. She frequents my deck, along with her boyfriend Jasper, when I&#039;m mothing. Right after I took this photo, she jumped from the wall onto my plants -- the perfect spot to ambush unsuspecting insects.<br />

  1. There she is! She knows your routines and shows up every time! :-D Posted 5 years ago
    1. Yes!! It's a moth week buffet, I guess. Posted 5 years ago
  2. Yay you remembered to use the name. And hello, Jasper. Posted 5 years ago
    1. She approves of her name. And, interestingly, Coco lets me feed her. But, her partner, Jasper, will not let me feed him. If I throw bugs at him, they just bounce off his head and walk/fly away. Posted 5 years ago, modified 5 years ago
      1. I like Coco! Posted 5 years ago
        1. Marta, she is sweet and has a very healthy appetite :)

      2. Jasper is an ungrateful fool. Posted 5 years ago
        1. Indeed he is. I offered him some choice delights and he just let them all bounce right off his head, whilst Coco devoured each offering with glee. In this respect, you could say that Jasper acts like a cat, while Coco acts more like a dog. Posted 5 years ago, modified 5 years ago
          1. Indeed cat behavior. I think he just wants to show you he could easily catch these himself, and then throw excess ones at your head. Posted 5 years ago
            1. Haha! Posted 5 years ago
              1. Or maybe you are ruining his efforts to seduce Coco by offering her some meals :-D Posted 5 years ago
                1. Uh oh, I hope not! I do think his main interest is sex rather than food though. Posted 5 years ago
                  1. Love is known to inhibit apetite and Coco is gorgeous! :-) Posted 5 years ago
                    1. Well, then Jasper is clearly besotted <3. Posted 5 years ago
