Boxwood Leaftier - Galasa nigrinodis This moth was pretty worn, but still had a beautiful reddish brown color with tufts on its legs! It also looked like it was standing on its tiptoes, or &quot;tip-tarsi&quot;.<br />

TL: ~10 mm.  Red FW with pale patch at costa. Costal margin is concave at midpoint. Hosts: Box wood. Status: Common.<br />

Boxwood Leaftier - Galasa nigrinodis

This moth was pretty worn, but still had a beautiful reddish brown color with tufts on its legs! It also looked like it was standing on its tiptoes, or "tip-tarsi".

''Galasa nigrinodis'', the boxwood leaftier moth or boxwood webworm, is moth of the family Pyralidae. It is found in eastern North America. The wingspan is 13–20 mm. Adults are on wing from June to September. The larvae feed on the leaves of ''Buxus'' species. They tie together and eat dead leaves of their host plant.
