
Eupithecia valerianata - Caterpillar
Tiny caterpillar that came into view while documenting the nymphs of 4Acompus rufipes living on Valeriana officinalis. Took a few Q&D shots and kept it with the nymphs and it rendered the pupa below:
Not too many images of caterpillar and pupae around, so worthwile to upload this "side track" too ;o)

''Eupithecia valerianata'', the valerian pug, is a moth of the family Geometridae. The species was first described by Jacob Hübner in 1813. It is found from Great Britain, through central Europe to western Russia, Belarus and northern Iran.
