  1. ..."is a very diminutive member of the plant family Plantaginaceae"

I looked up the word "diminutive", not knowing what it means. Now I still don't know what it means.

    1. When I don't know a word I google for "unknown word + meaning" and usually get a good result. In this case:
diminutive meaning = extremely or unusually small. This plant is not more than 25 cm high with very small flowers. Very difficult to notice.

      1. Much better result than I got, thanks. I would argue though they just say it's "small". Everybody understands that, even me :) Posted 5 years ago
        1. This plant is not very rare, but it is difficult to notice, very small and blends in with the environment. In my FB botanical group for 6 years it has been published only once! I would never have noticed it if one of the leading botanists in our country, the head of the botanical garden in Sofia, had not been with me. Posted 5 years ago
