Cloaked Marvel - Chytonix palliatricula
TL: ~18 mm. Grayish brown FW with straw-colored shading in median area. Black bar in inner median area ends in an elongated, white dot. Hosts: Grasses and aster blooms. Status: Common.
Habitat: Resting on an old building in a mixed forest
''Chytonix palliatricula'', the Cloaked Marvel Moth, is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from southern Canada to the Gulf Coast. The range extends west into the Great Plains to Nebraska and Oklahoma in the south and Alberta and British Columbia in the north. It is also found in Mexico, Guatemala and Panama.
