Blue-tailed damselfly on White Clover, Heesch, Netherlands Happy to find it as damselflies are not that common in our garden. That said, this species is the most common of all damselflies in the Netherlands. <br />

We call it &quot;Lantaarntje&quot;, Little Lantern. Which does not refer to the tail end, instead the colored stripe at the top of the thorax. I believe this to be a young male.
