Look at the incredible camouflage on this praying mantis! It mimics the grays and browns of the rock, in addition to the texture! Simply amazing! Eremiaphila genei is a desert mantis that thrives in hot, dry environments that other creatures would consider unforgiving. Thanks to their long legs, they are fast runners and can snatch unsuspecting insects off the sand without being evaded. They are extraordinary in their simplicity and complexity! {Spotted in Majdal Shams, Israel by JungleDradon moderator, Ori Fragman-Sapir} #JungleDragon #Israel #Eremiaphilagenei #PrayingMantis
