Anisota senatoria I'm having a hard time determining the species of this moth. The size and overall color suggests Anisota stigma, but apparently that species doesn't occur in CT. So, this may be Anisota senatoria instead.
Habitat: Attracted to a 395 nm LED light in a rural area.
1. I was thinking A. senatoria as well (just messaged you on messenger a few minutes ago with this ID). They are distinctively orange I think, so that would fit the bill? Posted 5 years ago, modified 5 years ago
    1. Yeah, that's the one I'm leaning towards. I think the lack of definition in the AM line is more obvious in A. senatoria. The size is weird though. This girl was big! WS was ~40+ mm. As far as color, I feel like both species look so similar, ugh. I was thinking my moth was yellowish, but once you said orange, it now looks more orange, haha. I'm nuts.

      Thanks for the help <3
