NATIONAL MOTH WEEK 2020, July 18-26

This is an early reminder that NATIONAL MOTH WEEK 2020 will be July 18-26! This is a worldwide event where everyone is encouraged to get outside to observe and photograph moths! We will be compiling a list of all moths shared on JungleDragon’s website during Moth Week, so please share your photos at https://www.jungledragon.com/

The National Moth Week website has ideas on how to attract moths, such as turning on an outside lights and lamps, putting up a sheet that’s illuminated by a light, smearing ferment on trees, etc.: http://nationalmothweek.org/finding-moths-2/

Yaaaay, it's that time of the year again, thanks for setting this up.

Although my current options are limited, my contribution will be small but definitely will contribute something.

Also want to post the all moths/butterflies link, with almost 3,200 species:

        In my case we probably need to go for the diurnal moths because this month of July has not been very warm so far and I think this may not be the ebst for nocturnal ones..we will see what we can get, at least is a good excuse to go for a very much needed walk outside! :-) Posted 5 years ago
