''Plectorhinchus picus'', the painted sweetlips, is a species of grunt native to coral reefs of the Indian Ocean and the western Pacific Ocean at depths of 3 to 50 m. This species can reach 84 cm in TL. It is a commercially important species and can be found in the aquarium trade.
