The banana nudibranch (Notodoris minor) is a sea slug—a shell-less marine mollusk. It lives in the Indo-west Pacific and can grow up to 14 cm in length. This is actually fairly large for a nudibranch! Its flamboyant, yellow color demands attention, and that is the point…The bright color is aposematic and warns predators that they taste bad, might be toxic, and may sting. Banana nudibranchs eat sponges, which contain toxins. The nudibranchs are immune to the toxins and rather than digesting them, they store the toxins in their mantles, awaiting anyone who dares to eat them. #JungleDragon #Notodorisminor
